I saw this answer to a question on the site and wanted to ask two questions. The first is whether or not terrorists are primitive, or like troglodytes? If they use technology to their advantage (and we fear this) does this not make them the Jetsons? And if they are primitive does this not prove the idea that "primitive" people are not capable of pursuing, posessing, and using WMD's? My second question is being primitive bad? Yes, I admit that being on the cutting edge of technology is great, but can the use of contemporary technology at times be primitive in itself? And at times can being primitive be of great value. Does being primitive mean that one is any dumber, or does it mean that one lacks the speed and access to discuss the same information? Ok more than two questions.
I am very pleased my previous post sparked such thought. The first of your two questions was " whether or not terrorists are primitive". I am not sure how to answer that except that OBL is probably living in a cave somewhere near the border of Afganastan and Pakistan and is offering a truths with the United States of America. (Someone isn't so sure they will get their 40 virgins.) Your second question "is being primitive bad?" No not if your fundamental beliefs are not centered around killing the innocent. I have no problem with primitive cultures. In fact I appreciate the fact that primitive cultures have not dissolved in our modern world.
You asked more than 2 questions. You went on to ask if it makes them any dumber and several other things I will try to address but it is getting late for me.
Okay look, I have no problem with Muslims or any other specific ethnic or religious peoples. The original question was "Is war bad?" I answered quick to get my 2 points and move on, because I did not feel the asker had put much serious thought into it. War is bad. War is evil, vile, and disgusting to anybody with half a brain, primative or not.
However there are times when wars must be fought, and as long as there are people out there in the world that seek to cause the loss of life on our soil then we will fight them. We will start and finish them. We will destroy those who seek to destroy us. Peace through superior firepower is a sad way of putting it, I know. However the best defense is a strong offence. You do not have to agree with me but please believe me I say these things with conviction. I wish the world was a peaceful place. I would feel a lot better about the safety of my children. However the world is not peaceful, far from it. There are people who wish to destroy us and our way of life so bad they are willing to die for it. Well I for one am willing to die to defend it.
