What were the economic, social, political, nd religious impact of the Holocaust?

My great grandfather escaped from Auswitz nazi death camps and I lived with this history in my own family. I am no genius or nothing like that but I thought I'd take a stab at it since its part of my own families history.

Economic - well, it was WWII! It got the united States out of the depression because we made bullets and guns and war stuff that the world bought!

It destroyed all of Europe and so Europe was in an economic crisis and suddenly the US was quite prosperous and Europe was hurting.

Japans at that time was in total economic ruin especially after Hiroshima and Nagasaki.

Japanize products were the joke of the entire industry until Dr. Edwards Demming came on the scene and single handedly resurrected the entire Japanize economy.

Social, well, at that time everyone for a while totally sympathized with the Jews across the board except for the British and the Arab countries.

So on a social scale Jews were more accepted than before by Allied countries.

Politicly - this was the time when David Bengurian proclaimed the national rebirth of the nation of ISREAL! the British fought tooth and nail to prevent this as did the Arab countries with the United nations. But eventually world wide sympathy won out and the Jews gained their own homeland, Israel. this was also a time of much international reform concerning war and the Geneva hate convention laws. many new laws were inacted to help prevent such occurrences again! we hope.

Religious - The Jews for the first time in decades were free to worship their own way. Though not widly accepted, the jewish faith was finally able to be freely expressed by Jews world wide though some anti sematic jewish factions still existed especially in the united States.

My great grandfather feared for my families security here in the US so he shaved his beard, wore a suit and dropped the Orthodox faith to help save us and we were all raised regular Christians. All because of the anti semitism that still existed here even after WWII. I never had a barmitsva, nor was raised in the Jewish way but my family is bloodline Jewish. I still till this day wonder about my own Jewish roots.

In the words of my grandpa- "We must never forget the Holocost!

Here's a little fun fact for you.

Did you know that the term Holocost did not come from Europe?

No one in Europe ever termed that time period of the nazi's demonic reign of terror the Holocost.

The term Holocost was coined actually by America.

So there you go, a bit of history lesson for ya.
