I think it is because they are all emotionally distressed. What do you think?
God gives us human desires but we are told to keep them in check.
We may have a desire to have multiple partners but we are warned against that.
We may have a desire to get high all the time, but we are warned against that as well. We may have a desire to be attracted to the same sex.
But we are warned against acting on those desires.
So it doesn't really matter to me whether they were born that way are not, they should not act on those desires. They may not be able to help how they feel but they can control how they act.
