Okay...I've been waiting for a long time to lay my idea down about this so just follow with me and i'll try to make it short and sweet...I think they both exist and here is how...
- We human beings are made in the image of God
- We understand time
- If we understand time then so does God becuase he made us to understand time and made us in his image
- What if God's original perception of time is different than ours? He didn't come from our planet so he wouldn't have the same idea of time as us.(Just bear with me here. To us 1 Revolution of earth = day; To God day = ?)I know he sees time through our eyes but what about before our eyes...before us?
- God created the earth in 6 days...God days or man days? Who told them to put that many days in the bible??? God? If he did he might have used his own process of time to calculate the time it took him to complete the job instead of our personal view because his came first...When asked how much you weigh while on the moon you will say what you weighed on earth without thinking about it.
- When God made man he made him out of the dust of the earth which the word dust has many roots in old languages as meaning "the smallest things" or "tiny things" (atoms?) Which is curious that the first man was called adam (atom sounds alot alike...you think about it.)
Now with all this taken into consideration (with an open view) that if what God made in the blink of an eye and is now sitting back and enjoying looks like a few days to him then how many years does it look to us mere humans? A million, a billion? And if God made us on the last few of the days that would explain why we just showed up on the map.
Following along so far? Okay now what appears to be evolution to us really is! Intelligent evolution is what I call it. Did God blink us into existence from nothing? No, not when all the creatures are made from DNA that can be traced back to common ancestors. How about he started with DNA and started building, and changing, and "molding" like he did humans. Where is the missing link you ask? I think God got to apes and was close to what he wanted but not close enough so he made a radical jump to make us to be more in his image than the apes would ever be. I mean we are only 2 chromazomes off of chimps and look how different we are.
I don't know if any of this makes sense but my answer is summarized as this...What if what looks like billions of years of random evolution to us looks like 6 days of instant success to God? Just food for thought...And that is how I think evolution and intelligent design are both possible.
