Why is the 1915 Armenian Genocide denied?

Even though the genocide is carried out and executed by the officially rejected "İttihat ve Terakki Party" under the command of Enver Pasha and Talat Pasha, the new Turkish Republic is founded by Mustafa Kemal who first condemned the act and vowed to punish the perpetrators, then suppressed it altogether for reasons of internal security and sovereignty (also a great deal of İttihat ve Terakki Party members were present in the new parliament even after it was abolished.)

This made it impossible for the official history to accept the event. Even after Mustafa Kemal died and left the political scene, his ghost lingered on. So the Turkish Denial Machine put in use, inventing a civil war in an area where the civil majority was the Armenians, and they were driven away by the government itself who is supposed to be governing them and their interests.

This of course, owes to the fact that the new republic built in Turkey was one of the nationalist origin and denied any other nations outside that frame of thought. Already scarred by current and recent Nationalist movements within the land the new government and its followers were afraid of further dissent within the land Armenian genocide was left to be secretly remembered as a warning to all the other nations within the borders of Turkey as an example of what could be done and forgotten if need be.

Armenian Genocide of course is proven with explicit internal memos (which are contested as fake by extreme right wing ideologues without any reasonable counter proof) and above all memoirs of the victims who managed to survive.

But according to denial machine of course the so called survivors were just lying because they lost their land.

Regardless of the intent Armenian people are -still- entitled to their land they were forcefully banished from, because the civil population is driven out by the military forces which was supposed to defend them as well. And even if the Armenian Insurgency killed Muslims and Turks in the region it does not prove that the perished civil population (women, elderly and children) was all hundred percent behind the atrocities committed by them.

So genocide or not the outcome is inevitable, but somehow that is rarely ever mentioned by the denial engine's mouthpieces. They are way too happy with the whodunnit part than doing anything alleviate the problem caused.
