There are some things that Jesus can't do.
Mt.20:23
"But to sit on my right hand, and on my left, is not mine to give, but it shall be given to them for whom it is prepared of my Father."
Mk.6:5
"And he [Jesus] could there do no mighty work, save that he laid his hands upon a few sick folk, and healed them."
========================================
Jesus is all-powerful.
Mt.28:18
"And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth."
I can understand your confusion. No problem asking for clarification, so don't feel like you need to apologize.
Mt.20:23-
Jesus made it clear that He had a mission, and the Father had particular tasks as well as the Holy Spirit. Example, Jesus does not know the hour of His return, only the Father. This is a direct parallel the the Jewish wedding. While Jesus was on earth in bodily form, He is unable to be with everyone at once--this is the role of the Holy Spirit. Jesus made it clear that who sits where is a role that is the Father's only.
Mk 6:5
Jesus did not do miracles to those who wanted parlor tricks. Jesus would only do miracles for those who had the faith in Him. Look at his meeting with Harod. Harod was glad to see Jesus and hoped that He would do a miracle for him, but Jesus would not. God's plan was not to "impress" people. Jesus had specific reasons for doing and not doing miracles. Jesus was in His hometown and everyone questioned Him and doubted His authority. He could have done a big SPFX thing, but that would not bring the kind of faith and belief He desired. Who was the person that Jesus was most impressed with? The Centurion who said, "Just say the word, Jesus and my servant will be healed." Jesus marveled and basically said, in effect, "This is the faith I have been looking for!"
Mt.28:18
This is true. And He weilds that power as He sees fit. From my experiences, He does it with a whisper and not a shout.
I hope this answers your questions. You might glean much from my studies.
