i cut. not a lot and not like most but i enjoy watching it bead up and drip. the pain is insatiable. i wear black "goth" cloths on occasions and listen to rock/heavy metal music. but i also wear normal clothing and listen to rap at times. i don't claim to be a cutter or goth but doesn't stop people from assuming that i am trying to be either of these. i am who i am and i do things according to how i feel and what's clean and who I'm w/ does this make me a poser?
You're not a poser. You should not cut yourself because it could leave scars and might get infected.
Sounds like you are a little bored in some ways. This sounds silly maybe there is a club at your school that you would like to join.
Or maybe, if the country is not too far away, you would like to take up horseback riding. It is a lot of fun. My mom used to take me and my two brothers to it when we were in grade school or junior high.
The horses are pretty cool and they don't make you ride them really fast when you are a beginner. It is very different than when you see horse-riding completions on TV. It is just fun.
The horses for beginner rides are reasonably gentle too. Most of them are not stubborn or willful and will go where you want them to go, which is kind of cool.
If you do stuff like horseback riding, or are in a club, nobody will assume that you are a poser. They can't. There aren't really stereotypes for stuff like that. If you cut yourself, wear all black - they assume you are trying to fit a stereotype. Then it all comes down to them assuming you fit the stereotype - or you do not and are just pretending.
Find something really fun to do and the question won't come up. And you won't care if it does. And you won't have to second guess what other people are thinking or about what you really want to do. Because you will be doing it.
Then maybe they will be jealous. But you can deal with that.
I am including some links to some clubs and fun stuff. Just to give you some ideas. You might see one that looks interesting. Most don't require a uniform or have any dress code. So you can still wear black if you want.
It is kind of a random hodge podge because I do not know what will appeal to you. Chances are one thing on this list will really catch your eye. You can do a little investigating and see if it is available in your area, as a club at your school, or as a weekly or weekend activity.
