Hormonal control is based on the ENDOCRINE SYSTEM. Nervous system control is based on the NERVOUS SYSTEM.
Both rely on the parts of the brain for control.
Endocrine or hormonal control is handled through a number of glands like the pituitary gland, the thyroid glands, adrenal gland and numerous others.
These all have a feedback loop that continually adjust levels of certain hormones. These hormones control everything from water balance, blood pressure and sleep cycle to sex drive and reproduction.
The nervous system has sensory neurons and motor neurons. Some are automatically controlled while others are voluntary.
Some like breathing are both.
Nervous control is impacted by hormonal control and the two systems interact often to maintain homeostasis of the human body.
