Cable is typically 3Mbps or faster throughput, and DSL is usually limited to 1 or less.
You can get business DSL and get faster speeds, but the latency on cable is much faster then DSL.
The company I work for the majority of my employees use Cable and I suggest cable just because of that reason.
Cable can actually reach speeds of 10Mpbs a second I believe and DSL is pretty limited as cable companies I've heard across the US are upgrading the speed already from what its at now.
